UMW Preservation Plan
The UMW Preservation Plan was created as a response to feedback received from the rollout of the draft Master Plan in 2011 and is currently is in its final stages. The Preservation Plan will serve as an informative tool to guide any decisions regarding campus buildings. The Preservation Plan rates each building on factors such as its architectural integrity, setting or location, historical significance, and its connection to the University Community.
A committee has been formed and will use the Grade Listing Criteria to rate buildings from 1 – 4. Below you will find an example of the building history of Willard Hall (which has been graded a 1), and the Grading List Criteria which will be used to rate campus buildings.
